Por Redaccion Over 1,600 people participated this afternoon, accompanied by bands, the Real Banda de Gaitas Ciudad de Oviedo, and the municipal Music Band, in the grand Carnival Parade, which once again enjoyed favorable weather. A few drops in the middle of the route were not enough to scare either the audience or the participants, who filled the streets of the city center with light, color, and music.
At the Cathedral Square, Rosalía Fernández Agudín (La Nueva España), Carmen María Baragaño (AC Principado TV), Jesús Martín Moro (Radio Asturias Cadena SER), Paz de Alvear (El Comercio), and Fedro Fernández (COPE) awaited them. They were members of the jury in charge of judging the proposals of the 72 bibs that competed in the different categories of the contest, distributed in the children’s category (15 in the individual modality and 5 in groups) and the adult category (with 14 entries in the individual modality and 25 in groups) and 13 in the social centers category.

The closing party is hosted by the Cayenna Orchestra.
