The University of Oviedo’s Publishing Service has been recognized with the National University Publishing Award for the work ‘El jardín de las delicias. Un día en el mundo del Bosco’, by Louis Indépels, in the category of ‘Best monograph in Arts and Humanities’.
According to the University’s press release, the award comes as the jury considers that «the author allows us to discover the mysteries of a work that is considered impenetrable.»
The XXVIII National University Publishing Awards have selected the best works published by Spanish universities and research centers in 2024 in a session held at the BOE Bookstore where the jury members were present: Nuria Azancot, chief editor of El Cultural from El Español; Eva Catalán, Education manager at The Conversation; Laura Revuelta, cultural journalist; Eva Orúe, director of the Madrid Book Fair, and Jorge Corrales, general director of CEDRO; Pedro Rújula, from the press department of the University of Zaragoza, acted as the jury’s secretary.
In this edition, there were 230 candidate works, submitted by 42 publishers. All of them will be displayed at the BOE Bookstore and can be visited by the public until August 31st.
The awards will be presented at the General Assembly of the UNE (Union of Spanish University Publishers) to be held on November 13, 2025, at the University San Jorge in Zaragoza.
