The Carnival of the Cabazo de Torres poster (Murcia) pays homage to the iconic figures of local tradition with colorful carnival groups and a representation of the original carnival of pets. This was presented on Tuesday by the culture and identity advisor, Diego Avilés, according to municipal sources in a press release.
In this presentation, Pedana de Cabazo de Torres, María Pilla Vivancos, and the president of the Pablo Montes Carnival, as well as the muse of this edition, Irene López, El Muso, Juan Miguel Bernabé, Sr. Pimentón 2025, Rodrigo García, and Doña Cayena, Raquel Martínez, all joined together to reveal all the details of this edition.
The programming of this carnival will include a total of seven parades where the spectacularity of the costumes and choreographers will take center stage. Additionally, there will be the third edition of the Open Carnival Parade, which will take place on March 1, this time with a theme inspired by the 80s, culminating in a music festival at the Carnival, with DJ shows by Pablonez and San Bernardino.
On February 22, the Coronation and Proclamation Gala will take place, while on February 28, the Children’s Parade will take place with 1,500 students participating from Cabezo de Torres and Churra schools. Additionally, on March 1, the «Animal Carnival» will arrive, where all those who wish to participate by registering their pet and dressing them up, a day that will give way to the «Open Carnival» with the theme inspired by the 80s and free entry, so anyone who wants to can join.
On March 2, 3, and 4, the three carnivals will take place, one each day, with 36 groups participating in each. Additionally, on March 7, the foreign carnival which has reached 50 applications will take place, and on March 8, the sea and the final parade of the Cabazo de Torres Carnival, as well as the burning of the 2025 mask.
The coronation and proclamation gala
The Proclamation and Coronation Gala will be another highlight where the group «Los Sajeraos» will carry the carnival insignia, handing over the mask to Paco Peña and Sara, who dedicated many years to enchanting it.
