El Elche drew (1-1) with Granada this Saturday in their visit to Los Cármenes on matchday 37 of LaLiga Hypermotion to continue adding points to their lead, while Levante, in second place, stumbled (1-0) against a Real Oviedo on a winning streak and closing in on direct promotion.
The Elche team earned a point in the demanding match at the Granada stadium in a discreet game, uncomfortable against a Granada side that dominated the midfield with Gonzalo Villar but didn’t have many more chances than their opponent. A mistake by Álvaro Núñez was capitalized on by Georgiy Tsitaishvili to make it 1-0, but Elche displayed quality in their passing and found the equalizer through Óscar Plano within three minutes.
Overall, Fran Escribá’s men ended the first half better and continued with a better disposition on the field in the second half. Lucas Boyé missed a penalty for the Andalusians, and with not much action in the penalty areas, the leaders settled for a point, taking their tally to 68. Meanwhile, Granada sits in the promotion zone with 59 points, pending the end of the matchday.

Anduva celebrated loudly thanks to Joel Roca’s 85th-minute goal, just as the visiting team was pushing for a comeback. Luis Miguel Ramis’ side had a poor first half, and on top of that, Curro missed a penalty, but the reaction to Joaquín Panichelli’s opener was remarkable, leading to Alex Sancris’ equalizer.
Additionally, Saturday’s matches also saw Albacete secure a 3-1 victory over the already relegated Cartagena, with the team from La Mancha comfortably mid-table. With safety already assured, Córdoba drew 1-1 with Eldense, a team still facing relegation with 40 points, despite wasting a 1-0 lead and playing with a man advantage for the last half-hour due to Jon Magunazelaia’s red card.
