Shakespeare returns to the Teatro Palacio Valdés in a contemporary reflection of his classic «Romeo and Juliet», presented by the collaboration of the companies Luz de Gas Teatro and Teatro del Cuervo in «Julieta en Verano». This is the proposal that closes the Hecho en Asturias cycle at escenAvilés in the first quarter of 2025, tomorrow, Thursday, February 13 at 8:00 p.m. at the Teatro Palacio Valdés.
Tickets, priced at a flat rate of 10 euros, are available for purchase through the usual channels, the websites www.teatropalaciovaldes.es and www.unientradas.es, as well as at the Casa de Cultura box office, and tomorrow at the theater box office, two hours before the show.
This is a collective creation by Mayra Fernández, Ana Eva Guerra, Nacho Ortega, Marino Villa, and Moisés González, under the direction of Lucía Miranda. In it, a group of young performers trained at the ESAD approach the themes addressed by Shakespeare in his work from a completely contemporary perspective. They make use of documentary theater methodology, among other techniques.
A proposal aimed at all audiences, especially young people, framed in the problems and concerns that assail them, from one of the classics of literature and universal theater. With the stamp of quality provided by two prestigious and experienced Asturian companies, Teatro del Cuervo and Luz de Gas Teatro.
