The Union of Agrarian Sectors of Asturias (USAGA) has attended the meeting called by the Ministry of Ecological Transition this Wednesday to address the creation of the Dialogue Table for the coexistence of wolves at the state level and where different aspects related to this have been discussed. There, they have ensured that they will defend that «every last cent» of the budget for wolf damage goes to affected farmers.
In a press release, they have criticized the «lack of transparency» regarding the use of funds provided in the General State Budgets, insisting that «it is impossible for the sector to track how these funds are being executed.»
The organization has taken the opportunity during the meeting to emphasize that in addition to the budget, they must «have all possible tools in the management of the species, including lethal control.»
