Astrillón will celebrate World Environment Day on Thursday, June 5, with children’s activities, collection of used toys, and the Mrs. and Mr. Potato Mission contest. – CASTRILLÓN CITY COUNCIL
Castrillón City Council will celebrate World Environment Day on Thursday, June 5, with a day of children’s activities at Parque de la Libertad in Piedrasblancas, between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM. In case of rain, the program will be moved to the Youth Center in the municipality.
Organized as part of FCC Parques y Jardines activities, the proposals aim to promote environmental awareness among children through play, creativity, and the reuse of materials, in line with the explanations provided by the City Council in a press release this Sunday.
The program includes a collection of used toys that can have a second life, and the workshop contest ‘Mrs. and Mr. Potato Mission: Let’s Save the Planet’. Participants will create their own Potato figure, designed as an environmental defender, using recycled or natural materials. The works may include banners with ecological messages, made with the materials provided in the activity.
