PP, Vox y Foro cuestionan a Barbón sobre su gestión en Asturias

Pablo Baquero and Iván de Santiago will be appointed as representatives of the parliament in the Consultative Council. The President of the Government of the Principality of Asturias, the socialist Adrián Barbón, will respond this Wednesday, March 19, to questions from the PP, Vox, and Foro regarding his management at the helm of the regional government.

Vox will focus on infrastructure. Carolina López, their spokesperson, will ask, «When will the Asturians stop suffering from deficient infrastructure?»

On the other hand, Adrián Pumares, a deputy from the Mixed Group-Foro, will inquire about the scheduled meeting of the Bilateral Commission between the General State Administration and the Principality of Asturias, and its agenda.

Additionally, Álvaro Queipo, the parliamentary spokesperson for the PP, will question Adrián Barbón on why his government fails to fulfill its commitments to Asturias.

This week’s plenary session will be the first one following the agreement between the PP and Foro to collaborate in their opposition to the regional government.

Among other issues, on Tuesday, the situation of the former HUCA lands, aid for ALS patients, the establishment of private universities in Asturias, the Dependency assessment process, security in supervised minors’ centers, wolf population control, and the electrointensive industry’s situation will be addressed.

On Wednesday, the Chamber will discuss various initiatives along with the usual questions to the president. Specifically, the PP will present two bills on Asturias’ sensory heritage and fiscal reforms in the regional IRPF quota.

Vox will bring a motion on the actions of the Valgrande-Pajares Exploitation Chief; and the Mixed Group’s deputy, Covadonga Tomé, will introduce a motion related to mental health.

Similarly, the PP will defend a non-binding motion on promoting and enhancing tourism linked to Asturian pastry and confectionery, while the PSOE will push for a motion on Democratic Memory sites.

Finally, the General Assembly plenary will appoint two members to the Consultative Council of the Principality of Asturias, agreed upon by the PSOE and PP: Pablo Baquero and Iván de Santiago.
