Por Redaccion Mariví Monteserín, among the outstanding women of the Avilés region in the 8M exhibition at CAI Villalegre

The Mayor of Avilés, Mariví Monteserín, has been chosen by the users of the Center for Support and Integration, CAI, in Villalegre, as one of the nine inspirational women included in the «Our 8M» exhibition, in honor of International Women’s Day. The exhibition was inaugurated this morning at the Sociocultural Center of Las Vegas, located at Miguel Ángel Blanco Street, 5.
«Our 8M» is an exhibition project created by CAI, divided into three parts. One part is dedicated to radio, another to illustration, with work on these sections ongoing since last year. The third part is the exhibition, highlighting women working in the fields of politics, sports, cooking, as well as those with diverse abilities, all from Avilés and the surrounding region.
The women featured are:
Mariví Monteserín (politician), Laura González (politician), María José Ondina (athlete), Alba Vázquez (pilot), Sara Montoya (boxer), Emilia and Manolita (women with various abilities, users of CAI Villalegre and the Rey Pelayo Association), Pilar Meana (chef), Beatriz Manchón (canoeist), and Patricia Suárez (politician).
