The team from Colegio Salesiano Santo Ángel won the first prize in Málaga with ‘BOSQUI’, an assistant robot for people with special needs
The Mayor of Avilés, Mariví Monteserín, and the Councilor for Urban and Economic Development, Manuel Campa, welcomed this morning at the City Hall the team from Colegio Salesiano Santo Ángel, winner of the «Innovative Proposals for Sustainable Development Challenges» competition, within the Science and Technology in Female project, promoted by the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain (APTE).
Aurora Palacio, Paula Rodríguez, and Carlota González, accompanied by their teacher Sara García Barón, triumphed on April 24 at The Green Lemon, located in Málaga TechPark, with ‘BOSQUI’, an innovative robot designed not only to help but also to save lives. Also present at this morning’s reception was the Quality Coordinator of the school, Iván Román Busto.
In addition to the recognition trophy, the team received a Lego robotics kit to continue developing their skills; the book ‘Superwomen, Superinventors’ by Sandra Uve, which highlights the role of women in the history of innovation; and a technological course from KeepCoding, designed to further enhance their training in the field of technology.
Their project, ‘BOSQUI’, is an intelligent assistant designed to accompany people with special needs, providing them support in their daily lives. It also represents a step towards labor inclusion, as it advises, answers questions, and provides security, ensuring that all individuals have the opportunity to develop professionally.
In recent years, Avilés has been a finalist three times with IES Carreño Miranda, once with IES Número 5, and has been the Spanish Champion in two editions: in 2020 and again in 2025, on both occasions with Colegio Santo Ángel.
