On May 27, 2025, the first meeting will take place on Friday, May 30, as part of the ‘Tú Propones’ project of the Youth Service.
Within the framework of the ‘Tú Propones’ Project of the Avilés City Council’s Youth Service, a creative writing workshop is being launched for young people with literary interests. It aims to foster creativity and provide useful tools for those who wish to explore the art of writing from a personal, authentic, and collaborative perspective.
Through five two-hour meetings, the participants will work on key aspects such as character development, narrative structure, the use of literary techniques, and finding their own voice as authors. The first meeting will be on Friday, May 30, and the workshop will be conducted with a practical and participatory methodology. In addition to improving writing skills, "Volar sobre letras" aims to create a creative community where ideas, texts, and experiences can be shared.
On this occasion, Maru, one of the young participants in the ‘Tu propones’ Program, presents "Volar sobre letras," an introductory workshop to creative writing that seeks to inspire, empower, and connect young people passionate about written word.
Objectives of the workshop:
- Foster literary creativity.
- Improve writing expression.
- Enhance individual narrative talent.
- Provide useful resources for editing and self-publishing.
- Stimulate critical thinking and imagination.
This proposal is part of the ‘Tú propones’ project, an initiative of the Avilés City Council’s Youth Service that promotes ideas proposed by young people to enrich the cultural and leisure offerings from a participatory perspective. A theater workshop has been underway for months, and now writing is being added.
