On February 8, 2025, the eight extraordinary concerts at the Municipal Chamber of Culture and the Conservatory Auditorium were attended by 1,800 participants.
The cultural and educational activities organized by the Municipal Conservatory Julián Orbón de Avilés attracted a total of 7,517 participants, including students and the general public, in the last year of 2024. Throughout the year, the Center promoted 119 activities.
The Conservatory offers a special program of artistic education, including primary and professional music instruction. Starting from the academic year 2022/2023, there is a 7-year music initiation workshop, which was extended to 6 years in the 2023/2024 academic year.
With a total enrollment of 238 students, including 125 in primary education, 85 in professional education, and 28 in music initiation workshops, the Conservatory’s main activities revolve around student concerts held both within the Center and in various venues across the city.
A specific breakdown includes:
1. Audience Concerts (1,335 attendees):
A. 20 student concerts organized by instrumental departments.
B. 11 mixed concerts.
C. 12 chamber music concerts.
D. 1 key concert.
E. 5 complementary piano concerts.
F. 4 end-of-primary education concerts.
G. 5 end-of-professional education concerts.
H. 2 masterclasses and meetings.
2. Extraordinary Concerts (1,800 attendees):
– Various concerts held throughout the year at different venues.
3. Music Dissemination:
– Music in the Bible (122 aspects): Various events held at the Municipal Library.
– Music Dissemination Program (580 aspects): Events targeted at schools in Avilés and surrounding areas.
4. Open Doors (190 aspects): The Conservatory opened its doors to the public on specific days to showcase its programs and offerings.
5. Collaborative Concerts and Social Objectives (2,029 attendees): 35 activities in collaboration with institutions and social objectives, including concerts, masterclasses, and competitions.
6. Courses, Masterclasses, Conferences, Discussions, Meetings, and Workshops (109 attendees): 12 activities organized by educational departments.
7. Cultural Week (1,352 aspects): A week-long event with various activities, including concerts, dance performances, and conferences.
