When the forcefulness distinguishes a group whose flag is the most vigorous hard rock, all that’s left is to be carried away by their music. That’s how the audience of Factoría Sound, who sold out tickets to enjoy Duel, will experience it. The Texan band will take over the Stage Room of the Cultural Factory with the power of their catchy riffs. They will do so the day after tomorrow, on Friday, June 6th, at 9:00 p.m.
Factoría Sound continues to play to full houses at each of their concerts, and their penultimate spring appointment could not be an exception. Coming from Austin, Texas, and with a name reminiscent of a Spielberg movie, Duel is triumphing with their fifth studio album, «Breakfast with dead», released in 2024 and taking them on a tour throughout Europe, with only six stops in Spain.
An album that exudes hard rock in all its intensity, sometimes labeled as doom metal stoner, other times as heavy psych, the truth is that on stage, these tough guys from the south west offer forcefulness, style, punk attitude, and touches of psychedelia. Like a journey back to the seventies on the back of a wild electric guitar.
They are Tom Franks, their guitarist and singer, former member of Scorpion Child; along with him, Jeff Henson on guitar, Patrick Pascucci on drums, and Drew Potter on bass. Their style is striking, with songs marked by catchy and heavy riffs, lots of distortion, groovy vibes, dizzying wattage fluctuations, rhythm, and energy.
An adrenaline rush for all the audience that approaches the Stage Room of the Factory, descending into hell to burn in the fire of «Pyro», enjoying a coven after the explosions of «Satan’s Invention» or «Tigers of Destruction». Unbridled power to close out Friday night, at the usual meeting point for those who love straightforward rock in the North. Their appointment with Factoría Sound beckons them.
