The leader Elche could not (2-2) against Albacete this Sunday in matchday 36 of LaLiga Hypermotion, failing at the Martínez Valero after ten consecutive victories, while Granada won (2-3) against Cartagena to enter the promotion zone.
Eder Sarabia’s team had a great start that promised another successful weekend, especially at home, and Nico Fernández and Josan scored a 2-0 lead in the first half-hour. However, the Albacete team responded with Javi Rueda and Christian Kofane’s amazing goal to equalize before halftime.
In the second half, the leader pushed forward, but lacked accuracy, although they needed Matías Dituro in goal to deal with Albacete’s counterattacks, as they were somewhat comfortable in mid-table. Elche, with 67 points, remains the leader of Segunda, followed by Levante with 66 points and Racing de Santander with 63. Real Oviedo stayed at 59 points after a goalless draw with Córdoba.

The matchday concluded on Sunday with Deportivo de La Coruña and Tenerife playing out a goalless draw at Riazor, a result that does not help the Galicians dream of the playoff zone nor the Canarians in their difficult battle for survival.
