
AvilÉsMúsica’s II International Chamber Music Festival in Avilés will celebrate its second edition from July 7th to 12th, extending its programming to six days and kicking off with a performance of Bach’s ‘Goldberg Variations’ in Dmitry Sitkovetsky’s string trio version.
The event, presented by Culture Councilor Yolanda Alonso and Artistic Director Gabriel Ureña, will bring together renowned international performers such as Kirill Troussov, Roberta Verna, Liana Gourdjia, Florian Peelman, Rumen Cvetkov, Alexey Zhilin, Jesús Reina, José Gallardo, and Ureña himself.
The festival, taking place at the Camposagrado Palace and the Casa de Cultura Auditorium, will feature a program including works by Mozart, Brahms, Dvorák, Beethoven, Schumann, and Shostakovich, among others. Highlights include a surprise virtuoso gala where the repertoire will not be announced in advance, and the closing concert recording by Radio Nacional de España.
