El Eibar se recupera a costa del colista Cartagena

Eibar defeated Cartagena 2-0 on Friday in the opening match of Matchday 29 of LaLiga Hypermotion, thanks to two first-half goals, earning three points to break out of their slump and nearly sealing the fate of their opponent.

Beñat San José’s team secured their first victory under the new coach, following up on a good draw last week against Racing de Santander. Goals from Jorge Pascual and Pablo Cuñat guided the visitors to victory at Cartagonova.

The bottom team couldn’t find their way back into the match in the second half, leaving them 18 points away from safety with the matchday still to be completed. Meanwhile, Eibar returned to winning ways after over a month to distance themselves from the relegation zone.
