The aim of Avilés is to showcase the city’s hidden gems and provide visitors with an authentic local experience. This is the essence of ExperienciAvilés, a portal that offers a curated selection of the city’s best hotels, leisure activities, and gastronomic delights.

The City Council of Avilés has launched experienciaviles.com, a platform designed to enhance the visitor experience in the city. The website features a comprehensive guide to Avilés’ gastronomic, hotel, and leisure offerings, providing travelers with all the information they need to make the most of their stay. The portal was unveiled this morning by the Tourism Councilor, Raquel Ruiz.

With the goal of immersing visitors in the true essence of Avilés, the portal showcases a range of establishments in the city. From accommodations and restaurants to sports centers, dance schools, tourist guide services, personalized hiking routes led by professional mountain guides, and thermal experiences, ExperienciAvilés aims to connect visitors with the heartbeat of the city.

To make a reservation, users simply need to click on the experience that catches their eye and contact the chosen establishment using the contact details provided on the right side of the screen. The portal will guide them through the reservation process and payment methods.

In the realm of gastronomy, visitors can indulge in the flavors of Avilés and enjoy a diverse range of culinary delights. From homemade dishes and signature cuisine to meat specialties, the world’s best fabada, innovative fusions of traditional recipes, tapas, and even brunch, all prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Prices range from 23 to 150 euros.

Additionally, the website offers personalized itineraries for exploring Avilés based on the duration of the visitor’s stay, from one day to three. Options include strolls through the city streets and along the river, visits to the Niemeyer Center, the viewpoint at the Ermita de La Luz, the Portus Space and Interpretation Center of the Avilés Cannons, a guided tour of the La Carriona Cemetery, as well as moments of relaxation on Salinas Beach, among other suggestions.

This initiative is co-financed by NextGenerationEU funds from the European Union, through the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan of the Spanish Government, as part of the grants aimed at strengthening commercial activities in tourist areas.
