Open call for grants to organizing entities of neighborhood parties in Avilés
June 11, 2025
As a novelty compared to the previous call, the percentage of the budget eligible for grants is increased from 75 to 100%, up to a maximum of 2,800 euros
The Department of Festivities opens a new call for grants, in a competitive concurrence regime, to the organizing entities of neighborhood and parish parties in Avilés throughout the year 2025. From tomorrow, Thursday 12th, they can submit applications for a period of one month, through the form available on the municipal Electronic Headquarters.
The call maintains its budget allocation: 20,000 euros. As the most outstanding novelty compared to the one made in 2024, the percentage of the budget presented by each entity eligible for grants is increased from 75 to 100%, up to a maximum of 2,800 euros, a figure that remains unchanged.
The requesting entities can only submit a single project eligible for this grant. In case of organizing more than one annual celebration, the requesting entity must select which one is presented as the eligible project.
Projects eligible for grants include festive activities such as:
- Traditional celebrations where the preservation of cultural and identity elements of the municipality is of particular importance
- Patron saint festivals of the municipal parishes
- Major festivals (such as neighborhood gatherings, etc.)
The objectives of projects eligible for grants must necessarily be some of the following:
- Promote different sectors involved in festive activities in different neighborhoods and spaces of the municipality.
- Involve organized entities in the festive dynamics of the city of Avilés, which are part of the municipal associative fabric.
- Contribute to promoting the festive offer of Avilés, decentralizing it from the city center and spreading it throughout the municipality.
- Promote recreational development as an additional tourist resource for Avilés.
Projects should not duplicate activities or services provided by the City Council or other public administrations in the territory, but may complement them.
When scoring the submitted projects, the budget amount, the percentage of self-financing, the specificity and precision of the project in relation to the objectives set in the call, the increase in the festive offer, and the interest and number of programmed activities and their complementarity with other actions will be taken into account.
