The councilwoman in charge of Social Policies, María Velasco, presented this morning, at a press conference, the charity concert organized by the Telephone of Hope on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, which will take place at the Príncipe Felipe Auditorium on March 7th at 7:30 pm. The councilwoman was accompanied by Camino Álavarez, vice president of the NGO, and Alfredo Moral, composer, guitarist, and collaborator of the Gala.

Camino Álvarez stated that the Telephone of Hope «is a non-political and non-confessional NGO dedicated to caring for the emotional well-being of the population. We have been in Asturias for 50 years and currently have offices in Oviedo and Gijón, where activities and listening services are provided in both locations. Last year, we received around 8,000 calls.» Regarding the concert, she specified: «It will start at seven-thirty and we look forward to seeing everyone there. In addition to tickets, there is a donation option for those who wish to contribute but cannot attend on the day.»
