The CLINIC business training program celebrates its 19th edition offering 25 spots for young entrepreneurs
April 22, 2025
Throughout its history, this training program has boosted 172 businesses, of which 162 are still thriving.
The Avilés City Council hosted the presentation of the nineteenth edition of CLINIC Joven Emprenda this morning. It is an entrepreneurial high-performance action aimed at training in entrepreneurship for 25 young people (aged 18 to 35), nurturing their talent and fostering leadership skills. It will take place from September 1 to 12 in Avilés, Nava, Cabranes, and Gijón. It’s 12 intense days of entrepreneurial competency training. Participation is completely free.
The presentation was given by Raquel Ruiz, Councilor for Youth of Avilés, accompanied by the director of CLINIC Joven Emprenda, Enrique Riesgo.
The Clinic is aimed at three types of entrepreneurs: business (with a business idea), social (with a non-profit or associative project), or intra-entrepreneurs (with professional concerns).
Participation is free, and registration will remain open until May 31 at 11:59 p.m., and can be formalized through the project’s website, www.asturiasemprenda.org/inscripcion.php.
In previous editions, out of the entrepreneurial entrepreneurs, 172 started their businesses, of which 162 are still successfully operating.
Innovative Program
The CLINIC Joven Emprenda is an initiative promoted by the Asturias EMPREND@ Association and supported by partners, including the Government of the Principality of Asturias under the Entrepreneurial Culture Promotion Program and the Avilés City Council. It is aimed at young people residing in the Principality of Asturias who have a business idea and/or the desire to start a potential social project and/or the proactive attitude to make things happen in the Asturian business and professional world.
The innovative nature of the program, which has earned it an award for innovative training, is due to the mix of ingredients in its recipe for success, combining gaming techniques, visual thinking, benchmarking, lean thinking, learning by doing, outdoor training, tailored to the profile of participants in each edition (which is unique, different from the previous and subsequent ones).
The Clinic Joven EMPREND@, a pioneering initiative in the European Union for the training of young human capital, aims to be a platform for exchanging entrepreneurial ideas, energizing entrepreneurial initiatives, uniting for cooperation among young entrepreneurs, a reference for the dissemination and awareness of entrepreneurial culture, a school of entrepreneurial leaders for Asturias.
It is established as a true «nursery» of young human capital for their development as entrepreneurs leading their own business or as intra-entrepreneurs in another company or organization, or even as social entrepreneurs.
It involves developing an Entrepreneurial High-Performance Center with a high-impact program similar to that used with elite athletes in sports technology centers. The program is completely free for all participants.
