Apertura del plazo de inscripción para pruebas de acceso en Enseñanzas Elementales

The Municipal Professional Conservatory Julián Orbón opens today, May 15, the registration period for the entrance exams to Elementary Education. Registration can be done until June 15, preferably online through the electronic headquarters of the Avilés City Council. Those who need support to complete the online application can seek assistance at municipal telecenters and registration assistance offices at the Avilés City Council (OAR). All information can be found on the center’s website www.conservatoriojulianorbon.com, and inquiries can be made by phone at 985561015.

Once the registration period ends, on the afternoon of June 16, the provisional list of admitted students, as well as the exam schedules, will be published. From the publication until 8:00 p.m. on June 17, appeals to the provisional admission list can be submitted, and the final list will be published on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 18.

The exams will take place on June 19 in the afternoon, and provisional results will be published on June 23. Appeals can be made against these results until June 25, with the final results being published on Thursday, June 26.

The entrance exams for the start of Elementary Music Education evaluate the rhythmic-auditory aptitude, vocal aptitude, and psychomotor aptitude of the applicants. They are graded as either suitable or not suitable.

Preference will be given to younger applicants, starting with those who turn 8 years old in the current year and continuing with those of subsequent years. Applicants of the same age will be alphabetically ordered starting from the letters «CD» in an A to Z direction, in accordance with the results of the public and unique draw held annually by the Ministry of Education to determine the admission of students in public and privately funded schools in the Principality of Asturias.

Once the entrance exam is passed, in September, the respective instrumental specialties will be assigned, and the student may voluntarily take a test to assess their skills and knowledge to determine their level in the assigned specialty (date pending confirmation by the Ministry of Education).

In the current academic year, there are 110 students attending Elementary Education at the Municipal Professional Conservatory Julián Orbón.

Students who enroll in the center will have the opportunity to enjoy the new facilities of the municipal conservatory at Ferrería 14.
