‘Brilla Avilés’ cerrará las fiestas de San Agustín 2025 con un espectáculo de fuegos artificiales.

‘Brilla Avilés’ will be the fireworks show that will close the San Agustín festivities in 2025

04 jul. 2025

They will be launched from the Avilés estuary on the night of August 27, the eve of San Agustín.

The fireworks show that will bid farewell to the San Agustín 2025 festivities will be named «Brilla Avilés«. A pyrotechnic project designed specifically for the city by the Ourense fireworks factory Xaraiva, which will last approximately twenty minutes.

The launch will begin at midnight on Wednesday, August 27, the eve of the local festival, and will take place from the right bank of the Avilés estuary. The show will feature 12 customized sets with over a thousand shots.

‘Brilla Avilés’ will start with an introductory phase to capture the audience’s attention with visually and sonorously impactful effects, followed by sets in the following sequence:

            – A garden over the estuary. A chromatic explosion with daisies, dahlias, chrysanthemums, hydrangeas, and sunflowers that will transform the Avilés sky into a floating garden over the estuary.

            – ‘Avilés’ shells. Blues and whites fired at maximum calibers that combine great altitude and breadth. A base of red candles will be added as a nod to the city’s third color.

            – Tribute to Niemeyer. A large white mosaic that evokes the dome of the Niemeyer Center, followed by a line of yellow volcanoes that will transform the sky into a design reminiscent of the auditorium of the cultural center.

            – Willow set. Gold in exchange for silver and gigantic horse tails that will slowly descend like a golden cascade over the water.

            – Figures. Simultaneous rings change the Avilés sky’s color to transform into a smiling face for the audience. This will be followed by brocade crowns, large red hearts, jellyfish, and the set will end with bicolor peonies.

            – Shooting stars. Battery of shooting stars in white and red, accompanied by lower candles that will create horizontal arch effects reminiscent of the arcades of the historic Avilés city center.

            – Water fireworks. Double set of fireworks launched from the water of the estuary where we will see large water lilies and palm trees.

            – Electric discharge. Set that simulates a large electrical storm with lightning and thunder.

            – Kamuro rain. Kamuro volcanoes with crackling effect along the sky in blue, white, and red tones.

            – Sakura effect. Large battery facade with sakura effect with red comets and multi-stars, followed by dragon eggs and crosettes cracker volcanoes.

            – The great palm grove. The palm trees will illuminate the Avilés sky and the estuary water. A set that combines aquatic and aerial elements to create the great palm grove of Avilés that will grow in caliber and breadth. The tallest ones will reach a height of 75 meters.

The pyrotechnic show will end with the grand catharsis. A final firecracker of long duration and high gunpowder content. It will be a summary as a culmination where a large multicolored castle will be created with a ‘final earthquake’, a hallmark of the Galician company.

Pirotecnia Xaraiva will return to Avilés 6 years after its last show took place at the San Agustín festivities in 2019. In the last decade, the companies that have launched the fireworks at the festivities have been:
