Villaviciosa has had a bus service to Rodiles beach since this Tuesday, as well as new services to Tazones and Oviedo.
Throughout the summer, there will be twelve daily departures back and forth between the urban center of Villaviciosa and Rodiles beach. The first services will start at 10:30 and the last returns will be at 20:30, including several stops at strategic points in the town.
As a novelty this year, a direct connection with Oviedo has been added, departing at 12:00 from the Asturian capital and returning from Rodiles at 18:00, facilitating access to visitors from the interior of the Principality.
NEW SERVICE OFFER
The new bus service offer for the summer, designed with the Transport Consortium of Asturias (CTA), confirms the increase in services for the council of Villaviciosa, which have been implemented in the last year.
In addition to the increased frequencies with Oviedo and Gijón, this summer there will be reinforcements for access to Rodiles beach and Tazones, two of the main tourist attractions in Villaviciosa and Asturias.
The expansion of the routes offers an alternative to using private vehicles during the peak tourist months.
As a novelty, Rodiles Beach (Villaviciosa) will have a direct service departing from the Oviedo bus station, and new services from the town to Tazones will be implemented.
Each trip will cost 1.55 euros, although you can also travel with the CTA single ticket card. It will be free this year for children under 15 years old.
The Government of Asturias will apply the free transportation for children under fifteen years old throughout its road public transport network from July 1st and will maintain the prices of trips made with the CONECTA card, as well as the maximum spending amount, set at 30 euros per month.
