On June 4th, 2025, the Famous Wine Festival, the world’s only festival featuring wines from celebrities, returns once again to the Avilés region. This year’s event, taking place between June 5th and June 15th in Avilés and Salinas, will showcase 13 participating wine shops. Among the highlights are new wine creations from famous personalities such as «Pedacitos de ti» by Antonio Orozco from El Bierzo, and «Feo, Fuerte y Formal,» a Rioja by Loquillo.
In addition to these musical-inspired wines, the festival will feature Italian wines paying homage to Leonardo Da Vinci and creations by Norman Foster. Wines from celebrities like Brad Pitt, Fonsi Nieto, Pedro Almodóvar, Sarah Jessica Parker, Rafael Moneo, Iván Rakitic, and the Baronesa Thyssen will also be available. Returning to the festival this year are wines from Eneko Atxa and Chimo Bayo.
The president of the Avilés Region Council and Tourism Councillor, Raquel Ruiz, emphasized the unique nature of the festival and its role in revitalizing the region during a period of reduced tourism activity.
This 2025 edition of the festival promises to be one of the most successful in its five-decade history. With the addition of new participating establishments that have recently opened their doors, as well as a diverse range of new wines being introduced, the festival is set to offer a memorable experience.
Aside from wine tastings, the festival will also include various activities. On June 8th, a session themed «Music, Film, and Celebrities» will take place at 7 pm at the Avilés Palace (Plaza de España, 9, Avilés). The following tasting, titled «The Thyssen Collection and its Favorite Labels,» will be held on June 11th at 7 pm at the Monastery of Santa María de Raíces (Avda. de Raíces, 1 Salinas). Registration for these tastings is required on the festival’s website.
Thirteen hospitality establishments will be participating in the festival, offering these celebrity wines by the glass at affordable prices. The venues will be adorned in tribute to the featured celebrities, playing their music for singers or showcasing their films for film directors:
